A new line of single-polarity charge generators from Ion Industrial feature the choice of "constant current" or "constant voltage" operation suitable for a broad range of static charge pinning applications, including card insertions, chill roll edge pinning on cast film lines, in-mold labeling (IML), roll transfer, lamination, shrink wrapping, plastic bag manufacturing and many other processes. While "constant voltage" has been a standard mode for most other generators, the "constant current" feature provides more consistent pinning power regardless of changes in ambient conditions or contamination of ionizing electrodes or variations in the material's properties. Ion's line of new charging products also includes a small-profile, lightweight charging bar with tungsten ionizing electrodes.

The new 7020 OEM Generator is a fully-integrated "black box" controllable by a PLC using an analog I/O connection. The 7220 Generator, in addition to the remote I/O, provides all controls and displays on the front of the unit for ease of monitoring or operator adjustments. Both systems utilize universal output connections compatible with many makes of charge applicators. An IP54 protection rating is standard on both generator models.
