Generator operates at 65 dBa at 23 ft
Offering prime power output of 45 kVA, Super Quiet Model T45 outputs 3-phase power on distribution side with single-phase receptacles located on control panel, allowing operation of both sources simultaneously. Three-phase outputs include 208, 220, 240, 416, 440, and 480 V plus optional 600 V. Single-phase outputs of 120, 127, 139, 240, 254, and 277 V are standard. Unit is powered by Tier II compliant, 4-cylinder, 66 hp 4JIT2 Isuzu turbo engine with 64 gal fuel capacity.
ROCK HILL, S.C. (Nov. 23, 2004) - Terex recently introduced a new model, the T45, to their extensive line of Super Quiet Generators. The T45 offers some new features that will expand on the success of last year's rollout of the Super Quiet Generator line, which was introduced at the 2003 Power Gen Show in Las Vegas, NV.
The rental-tough T45 generator was designed and built for quiet operation, yet durable enough to handle the day-to-day conditions of the jobsite. The T45 offers a prime power output of 45 kVA (36 kW) and delivers both single and three-phase outputs. The T45 outputs three-phase power on the distribution side of the unit and the single-phase convenience receptacles are located on the control panel to allow the operator to run both power sources simultaneously. Three-phase outputs are available in 208, 220, 240, 416, 440 and 480 volts and optional 600 volt. Single-phase outputs of 120, 127, 139, 240, 254 and 277 volts are standard.
The Super Quiet line of generators, including the new T45, come standard with a 5-lug distribution board, which puts the ground connection in the distribution panel with the other connections. A recessed plug connector in the control panel allows for easy connection of options, such as block heaters and battery chargers, which require an external power source. The power side of the control panel of the T45 includes a main breaker, two GFCI duplex receptacles and two Tempower Twistlock receptacles.
The black background of the user-friendly control panel provides easy-to- read analog displays for optimum visibility. DC engine gauges show water temperature, oil pressure, engine hours, fuel level and battery voltage while power output AC gauges show volts, amps and frequency. An engine control module monitors engine conditions and immediately shuts the generator down under a fault condition.
The T45 is powered by a Tier II compliant, 4-cylinder, 66 hp (1,800 rpm) 4JIT2 Isuzu turbo engine. A fuel capacity of 64 gallons and a run time of 75% at load provide 29 hours of operation on a single tank of fuel.
The fuel tank of the T45 is incorporated into the structural base of the unit for durability and protection. This design also means that the fuel stays with the generator, rather than the trailer. Combined with the unit's standard automatic start, the self-contained tank feature enables the unit to be rented as a mobile power source or deployed separately for permanent power applications. The T45 also offers standard secondary containment, an internal fuel tank inside a sealed outer containment base, to meet the highest of standards in environmental spill protection. The standard trailer includes a pintle ring.
The T45 is specifically designed to reduce noise, the design of the rear louver panel attenuation system allows for once-through airflow to reduce average noise levels and help eliminate corrosion hotspots. An overlapping cabinet design, where the hood overlaps the side panels and the side panels overlap the sides of the base, provides sound blocking by eliminating gaps.
These features enable the T45 to run at peak operating efficiency at a quiet 65 dBA at 23 feet (or 7meters).
